Returns & Exchanges
ALL SALES ARE FINAL, PERIOD.

- Online purchases that do not fit may be returned for exchange or store credit (valid for 12 months) minus shipping and a 15% restocking fee per exchange.
Initial layaway payments are completely non-refundable. Layaway agreements canceled or changed within 30 days of initial payment (only) may retain the remaining layaway payments made as store credit for 12
Condition
Vintage clothing often does have condition issues. We do our best to keep our inventory in clean, ready to wear condition; but we sometimes take a purist approach to certain items. Real collector pieces that have wear or damage are often left as is; allowing you, the collector to choose the restoration or reconstruction method. On the other hand, we also repair and reconstruct, alter and remake items that are unusable in their current condition; and we make great effort to make it clear when we’ve done so. If you would like to purchase an item with condition issues, please consult us about restoration options. If we are unable to do so for you, we may be able to suggest an appropriate restorer or technique you can use at home.
We’d like to take this opportunity in discussing condition to ask nicely… if you damage a garment while trying it on, such as a zipper on a 70 year old dress; please be responsible to at least let us know so that it can be repaired. In most cases we will do our best to repair the garment and avoid charging for that repair; but be aware that vintage clothing is often delicate, and you can be held responsible for negligent damage in your personal handling of merchandise, in any store. We’d like to avoid that in any case; but it is becoming a real issue. So please do be nice to the vintage! Don’t force that zipper like you would a mall bought garment.
Sizing
Because vintage sizes differ from modern ones, and because many items have either lost their tags or never had sizing, we offer standard measurements for most garments (online). Please take the time to measure yourself prior to ordering a garment to ensure it fits. We offer a measurement guide for use as reference for the measurements we take on garments listed on the website.
Vintage Revival or Inspired Clothing
We do sometimes stock some newer items that should be considered vintage inspired, not true vintage; and we don’t want to misrepresent these items as something they are not- they’re labeled and priced accordingly. Mixing vintage and new fashions gives your wardrobe greater depth and personality, and we never pass up a good deal.
Pricing, Haggling, Trading, & Bartering
Pricing is based on fair market value, availability, and what we pay for the item. Part of the fun of vintage shopping, for some, is negotiating the price at the time of sale. In-store, we’re happy to consider your polite offer; but due to our standard low prices we may not be able to meet it. Online prices are firm. If you are seeking a bulk purchase discount (on purchases of $400 or more) please call or email us before completing your purchase. We generally do not trade but it never hurts to ask.

A few other things…
- We share a small parking lot with Somnio’s Cafe, so please be courteous to both their customers and our neighborhood residents. Try to park in one of the three spots in front of our store, but if they are full, there are more in back. Somnio’s customers are welcome to use our spaces if the ones in back are full, too.
- The yard area behind our shop/Somnio’s restaurant is not open to the public. It is open to our customers when we are present, and to Somnio’s customers at thier discretion; otherwise it is a staff only area. Please do not use it as your cut-through or hang out. Flashback is not responsible for any accidents or incidents that may happen to you in our yard or on store property at any time, whether we are present or not.
- Supervised children are always welcome in our store but parents are encouraged to use discretion. Flashback is small and jam packed with stuff high and low for little hands to get into, some of which is inappropriate for young or sensitive children. Staff is not responsible for supervising children, and customers are responsible for damage to items by children or themselves. We do offer a small basket of toys, some bubbles and sidewalk chalk, as well as a fairly protected side yard, for children to play in while parents shop.
- Your leashed dog is also welcome … on the front porch, but please don’t let him or her roam- our backyard neighbors prefer not to have strange dogs crossing the creek to chase thier chickens. There is a water bowl for our poochie friends, just ask us to fill it.
- We prosecute shoplifters, vandals, and thieves. This includes those who switch tags, misrepresent themselves for discounts, and those who outright steal or damage our property. You know who you are. And so do we.
